Hi Gus,
It's Mike from DupeFree Pro here with an important DFP bug update.
It's Mike from DupeFree Pro here with an important DFP bug update.
You may have noticed Google has implemented some major changes to its search pages this week. They've changed their look and added some fancy new functionality. In fact, they have even updated their logo which is (so I've read) the first substantial change since co-founder Sergey Brin designed it back in 1999!
These new updates at Google are great because they keep making 'The Big G' even better (for example, in a moment I'll give you a tip on how to get some great LSI terms from a new toy they've added), however, this update has unfortunately broken the last remaining search engine that was working in the 'Online Check' function of DFP.
This change means that the 'Online Check' function in DFP now no longer retrieves search results numbers from any of the three Search Engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing/MSN) rendering the DFP 'Online Check' broken.
I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. Also, I'm afraid to say, this bug will not be fixed in the current DFP v1. However, the good news (and the reason it won't be fixed in the current version) is that the bigger and infinitely better DFP v2.0 is in full time development and will be ready in just 3/4 months. It's very exciting and I know you will love all the new improvements. In the meantime you will need to use a service such as copyscape.com to check articles online. You can read more on this bug update at the blog here:

Again, please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience of the online function no longer working. However, we are focusing 100% on DFP v2.0 right now so we can look forward to a much brighter new future for DupeFree Pro and us, its users, in just a few short months! :)
As promised here is a tip for a great way to use one of the new Google features to locate some great LSI terms:
1) Go to Google.com and type in your core search term (i.e. "shoes").
2) Now on the left hand side bar area click the link 'Wonder wheel' under the heading 'All results'.
3) You will now see a 'wheel' sprouting out related terms to your searched term. Click on one of the suggestions to see related terms to that term, and so on.
This wonder wheel is very effective at helping you find some great terms you may have never thought of. I'm sure you'll agree, it's a very handy little tool. :)
Thanks again for using and supporting DFP. As always, please do not hesitate to send me any comments or feedback to: helpdesk@dupefreepro.com
Chat again soon,
Mike
