Important update to your Livedrive Windows software

Dear Livedrive Customer,

Today we're rolling out a critical update to the Livedrive Windows desktop software. This is the software that runs on your PC and backs up your files to your Livedrive Backup account. If you have Livedrive Briefcase enabled, then it also powers your L: drive, letting you access your Livedrive Briefcase from your PC.

This new version includes a number of significant improvements, and as a result we're going to be removing support for older versions of the software over the next week. It's important that you upgrade now – it's easy and only takes a few minutes. The following link takes you step-by-step through the process:

There are a large number of behind-the-scenes changes in today's release that improve the way that files are sent to and from your PC. These changes make the Livedrive desktop software faster and more efficient, and reduce the amount of time it takes for files to upload and download. The new client deals with network problems far more effectively, so that if your internet connection drops off it can pick up from where it left off without restarting the transfer.

We hope that you enjoy the new version. If you have any problems or questions about the upgrade process or any part of your Livedrive service, please get in touch. Our support team can be contacted at support@livedrivesupport.com, and will get back to you within 24 hours.

Best regards,

Livedrive team
